When Restlessness Knocks

Restlessness doesn’t come to punish you.
It comes to whisper: “There’s something here.”
And if you’re willing to listen, it might just be the beginning of something great.

You probably know the feeling.
That stirring in your body — a restlessness, an urgency, like something knocking from the inside.
Your thoughts race. Nothing settles.
It’s tempting to distract yourself — with food, scrolling, doing more.

But maybe…
This isn’t the time to fix yourself.
Maybe it’s the time to pause.
To feel. To listen.

The ego wants to protect you.

And that’s not wrong.
The ego isn’t the enemy — it simply wants you to feel safe.

But the safety it offers represent the old patterning. On avoidance.
So when you feel that inner unease, the ego will likely try to pull you away.
Keep you busy. Keep you at the surface.

That’s the trap.
Because what the ego is trying to avoid…
is often the very doorway to the change you long for.

What you fear meeting — is yourself.

When you dare to face what’s uncomfortable,
you may discover something wildly beautiful:

That what you thought was too big, too painful, too much —
was simply a part of you, waiting to be seen.

The ego does its best to keep you “safe,”
but often at the cost of illusions, avoidance, and clever tricks.
It makes the uncomfortable look terrifying.
But it’s not.
It’s you.

Seeing this — seeing through the tricks —
is a powerful step toward knowing your true self.

There is freedom in feeling.

Restlessness isn’t just a symptom.
It’s a signal.
It’s your system pointing you inward — toward something that’s ready to be met.

Not because you need fixing.
Not because you must find a solution.
But because something in you longs to be held.
And when you meet it — with presence —
things begin to soften.

That’s where change begins.

And most importantly: Meet yourself with love.

When something stirs inside you,
meet it with warmth.
With respect for the process — and for the part of you that’s been trying to protect you for so long.

This isn’t about pushing anything.
It’s about walking gently — with all of you — through the unfolding.

Restlessness isn’t the enemy.
It’s the guide.
It leads you home.

So next time restlessness knocks —
what happens if you open the door?
